Newslaundry IT Raid: Delhi High Court issues notice to IT Department in plea for protection of personal data

During a raid conducted at Newslaundry's office last week, IT Department authorities had seized the phone and laptop of CEO Abhinandan Sekhri as well as a few office machines.

The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notice in a plea filed by Newslaundry seeking protection of its personal data that was seized by Income Tax Department authorities during a raid conducted at its office on September 10, 2021 (M/s Newslaundry Media Pvt Ltd v. Director General of Income Tax).
