[Sitalkuchi Firing] Calcutta High Court seek status report from West Bengal CID by May 5
The Court was hearing petitions concerning firing by CISF which happened on polling day in Cooch Behar district on April 10 when four people died due to CISF firing at booth no. 126 of Sitalkuchi.
The Calcutta High Court, on Friday, directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the State of West Bengal to submit a report on the progress of investigation into the firing by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Sitalkuchi during the West Bengal assembly polls which had caused the death of four persons (Aminuddin Khan v. Union of India).
