Supreme Court 5-judge Bench issues notice in curative petition by Gujarat Urja Vikas against termination of PPA by Adani Power

The Bench of Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and Justices UU Lalit, AM Khanwilkar, BR Gavai and Surya Kant stated that the petition raises substantial questions of law which need to be considered.

The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice in a curative petition filed by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVL) against a 2019 verdict of the top court which had upheld termination of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) by Adani Power (Mundra) Limited [Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd v. Adani Power (Mundra) Limited].
