A litigant had to be forcibly removed from the Supreme Court on Friday after he hurled abuses in court and documents during the hearing of his petition challenging a decision of the Allahabad High Court.

The development took place before a Bench of Justice KV Viswanathan and Justice Alok Aradhe.

The courtroom atmosphere turned dramatic when the petitioner, who appeared in person, displayed an unusually aggressive stance in his submissions.

"Mr judicial servant. I order you to order the registration of an FIR against the ACP ... Lucknow," the litigant said at the outset of his submissions.

Taken aback by the conduct, Justice Viswanathan asked,

"You are ordering me? You are ordering us?"

In response, the litigant said,

"That is all from my side. Everything is on record."

The petitioner soon escalated the confrontation by throwing the case file into air and hurling verbal abuses in open court.

The security staff immediately swung into action and removed him from courtroom.
