Phoenix Legal ramps up in Chennai with Kochaar Partner Shadaan Mohammed Saipillai

Kochhar & Co Partner Shadaan Mohammed Saipillai has joined Phoenix Legal as a Partner in its Chennai office, expanding the firm’s presence in South India.

Shadaan is dual qualified in India and England, and has over 15 years of experience. Shadaan will be part of the corporate and M&A practice of the firm. His areas of practice also include JVs, employment and real estate.

Shadaan is a graduate of Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University and also holds an LL.M. from Queen Mary, University of London. On his decision to join Phoenix, Shadaan said,

Phoenix Legal seems to be on expansion mode. Recently, Aseem Chawla had merged his firm ASC Legal with Phoenix Legal to head the tax practice at Phoenix. The firm has also made four partners – Aditya Bhargava, Debarshi Dutta, Pranav Srivastava and Ritika Ganju.
