The Delhi High Court has today, issued notice to CBSE along with the HRD Ministry and the Delhi Police, in a plea filed by the Civil Rights Group Social Jurist regarding the recent board examination paper leaks.
The plea filed by Advocate Ashok Agarwal seeks a court monitored probe into the paper leaks and prays that the CBSE be directed to be liberal while evaluating the re-examination as a way of compensating the students.
The petition also seeks a direction to the CBSE to declare the date of re-examination of the Class X Math paper forthwith, preferably in the month of April.
The petition submits that the decision of the CBSE to not hold the re-examination of the Class X Math paper in April 2018 is unjustified in light of their decision to conduct the re-examination of the Class XII Economics paper.
The petition also states that the students and parents strongly apprehend that the police agencies investigating into the matter, are not serious and appear to be under the influence of the Government and the CBSE to protect the culprits.
The Bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar, while issuing notice to the CBSE and the Delhi Police, listed the matter for April 16.
