

A Srinagar Court has ordered three days transit remand of an accused to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody to enable the agency to produce the accused in the Red Fort car bomb blast case before a Delhi Court.
The car bomb blast killed at least 15 persons and left dozens injured.
In a statement released on Monday, the NIA said that Jasbir Bilal Wani @ Danish was a key associate of Dr Umar Nabi who was in the i20 car that exploded near Red Fort.
Danish had allegedly provided technical support for carrying out terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to make rockets ahead of the deadly car bomb blast.
Following his arrest, Danish was produced before Special Judge Manjeet Rai with an application for transit remand.
In an order passed on Monday, the Court said,
"Since the accused is allegedly involved in the commission of offences U/s; 103 (1), 109(1), 61(2) of BNS, sections 16 & 18 of UA (P) Act, 1967 and 3 &4 of Explosive Substance Act, 1908 which are not only heinous and grave in nature but are also against the security, sovereignty & integrity of India.The accused is to be produced before learned NIA Special Court PHC, New Delhi and it is not practicable to produce the accused person above named before the learned NIA Special PHC, New Delhi by today itself. As such, transit remand is required to be given to the accused so that he can be easily produced before the learned NIA Special Court, PHC, New Delhi for passing the appropriate orders."
The accused was given transit remand till November 19 with a direction to the NIA to produce him before the competent court for appropriate orders after the expiry of the remand.
Meanwhile, the NIA said that it continues to explore various angles to unravel the conspiracy behind the bombing.
"Several teams of the anti-terror agency are pursuing multiple leads, and are conducting searches across states to identify every person involved in the terror," it added in the statement release on Monday.
