The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has notified the closure of the Srinagar Wing of the Court between July 17 and July 18 for sanitization of the premises.
The sanitization measure has been adopted as certain officials of the Court have tested positive for COVID.
Urgent Cases listed for today (July 17) and tomorrow (July 18) will be taken up on July 20 (Monday), the Court's Order states.
The listing of all other cases will be posted on the Court's website, the Order clarified.
Earlier this month, the Srinagar Wing of the Court was closed for a two-day period after CRPF personnel tested positive for the coronavirus.
A number of Courts have suspended proceedings and/or extended the suspension of their functioning over the month, in view of the spread of COVID-19 in Courts.
Most Courts have been functioning at limited capacity, with virtual hearings and video conferencing being the norm.
