Supreme Court Collegium recommends 3 judicial officers for elevation to Jharkhand High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium at a meeting held on September 10 recommended the appointment of three judicial officers as judges of Jharkhand High Court.

The three judicial officers recommended for elevation are:

(i) Manoj Prasad;

(ii) Akhil Kumar; and

(iii) Ram Sharma

The Jharkhand High Court has a sanctioned strength of 25 judges. It is currently functioning with 13 judges and 12 posts are vacant.
