Trademark registry can send documents via email if litigant has furnished email id: Delhi High Court

The Court clarified that the Trade Marks Registry is at liberty to effect the service of documents by email provided the party being served has provided an email ID and has indicated that documents can also be emailed.

The Delhi High Court recently observed the Trademarks Registry can serve documents to a party by email, although such service of documents may only be done if the party concerned has provided an email ID as an “address” for such a purpose.
