Tripura High Court to work at full strength with appointment of Satya Gopal Chattopadhyay as Judge

The Central Government on Wednesday cleared the appointment of judicial officer Satya Gopal Chattopadhyay as a judge of the Tripura High Court.

With this appointment, the Tripura High Court's working strength will match its full, sanctioned strength of four judges.

The appointment has been made following a Collegium recommendation passed in January this year.

The notification issued accordingly states,

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (l) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Satya Gopal Chattopadhyay, to be a Judge of the Tripura High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
