The directive was issued to ensure that there is proof of such communication. The Court also called for the proper implementation of timelines suggested to complete documentation and interviews for organ donations.

The Delhi High Court recently directed the authorities to ensure that whenever documentation submitted for organ donation is found deficient, a communication must be issued to the organ donor and recipient or their close relatives through email or WhatsApp [Amar Singh Bhatia & Anr v Sir Ganga Ram Hospital & Ors].
