Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, Internship & Recruitment Coordination Committee (IRC) has launched a digital platform, HNLU GenZ-Lex, to bridge the gap between legal academia and professional practice and align students with the realities of contemporary legal practice.
The platform will facilitate fortnightly, structured interactions between HNLU students and legal practitioners, law-firm partners, and industry experts.
Gen Z-Lex will focus on emerging practice areas, evolving professional trends, and practical skills essential for career readiness through expert lectures and conversations.
Launching the platform, Vice-Chancellor, HNLU, Prof (Dr) VC Vivekanandan, noted that legal education must go beyond doctrinal knowledge, preparing students to be law-ready for a dynamic and technology-driven professional world. He described HNLU Gen Z–Lex as a pedagogic intervention - a deliberate movement from academia to practice.
Inaugural Session
The inaugural session, titled 'Beyond the Degree: Skills, Mindsets, and Career Readiness for the Next Generation of Lawyers,' was delivered by Partner, Agraami Consultancy, Samta Thapa.
The address focused on preparing for job opportunities, the steps involved in recruitment, and making tailored efforts to meet the expectations of recruiters.
The initiative was conceived and operationalised by the Recruitment Coordination framework under faculty Dr Ankit Awasthi and Dr Mayank Shrivastava and is aimed to continue as a fortnightly series, featuring diverse professionals across legal practice, policy, consulting, and allied domains.
