Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Vibhuti Mittal, a first-year student at the first-year student at the Dharmashastra National Law University in Jabalpur.

Why did you choose to study law?

I was introduced to the field of law when I was in 12th standard and the kind of work lawyers do attracted me the most. The dynamic nature of law and its omnipresence interested me. The critical thinking and analytical work that a lawyer does interested me a lot.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

Since the days of CLAT preparation, I have been following Bar & Bench on telegram and twitter and after joining a law school the interest in legal journalism increased.

The opportunity of being a campus ambassador seemed perfect to work with bar and bench and get the exposure to legal journalism along with interaction with my peers belonging to various law schools across India.

What are your plans after completing law?

After completing the law, I would like to join a law firm and along with that do some pro bono work as lawyers are known as social engineers. I believe some social work should be done by every lawyer.
