Saumya Singh has topped this year’s edition of the CLAT.

The conduct of this year’s exam went largely smoothly, as opposed to previous editions. In October last year, the CLAT Consortium took a call to have an offline exam, in view of technical glitches that marred the conduct of previous editions.

The Consortium had also set up a Permanent Body to to streamline the conduct of CLAT.

More than 47,000 candidates appeared for this year’s exam.

A total of 2,584 seats are up for grabs for the undergraduate courses at 21 National Law Universities. A number of other law schools are also using CLAT 2019 scores for admission.

DNLU Jabalpur is the latest entrant to the CLAT fold this year. The Dr. BR Ambedkar National Law University at Sonipat, Haryana will also commence admissions starting this year, and will use CLAT scores for the same.
