Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur hosted the second edition of its Career Development Conclave (CDC) on October 5.
The Conclave was inaugurated by Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan co-founder V Sridharan and Director of the State Urban Administration Department Kundan Kumar as the Guest of Honour in absentia.
In the keynote address, Sridharan advised that the nuances of law are best understood through classical legal texts, such as Cheshire's works. He said that while modern research tools offer convenience, traditional sources provide further clarity on fundamental concepts.
HNLU Vice-Chancellor Prof VC Vivekanandan in his opening remarks spoke about having a diversified legal practice, interface of law and technology, globalization of legal services, changing client expectations and legal ethics and social responsibility of lawyers.
The first edition of the CDC was launched and completed in 2022 and received an overwhelming response with 1,200 registrations.
The CDC 2.0 is open to students of HNLU and other law schools. It will be held for six months during weekends in offline or online modes with more than 20 thematic sessions. Sessions will be held with experts from leading law firms, career development experts, academics and jurists from India and abroad.
