MNLU Mumbai invites Submissions for Edited Volume on Environmental Law, Policy and Compliance Book

The last date for submission of papers is July 15, 2025.

Bar & Bench

Due to an observable lack of legal academia dedicated to Environmental Law in India, the Justice ML Pendse Chair in Environmental Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) aims to foster legal environmental education by promoting and undertaking research activities exclusively in the field, in collaboration with national and international stakeholders.

The Chair is pleased to announce its edited book on 'Environmental Law, Policy, and Compliance'. Top papers that are submitted will be published in the edited book (with ISSN) by their publishing partners, Bharat Law House.

Vice-Chancellor, MNLU Mumbai, Prof (Dr) Dilip Ukey, and Research Assistant, Ph.D scholar, MNLU Mumbai, Shweta Bhuyan are the editors of the book.

Themes

Any paper related to environmental law and relevant policy framework is acceptable.

Eligibility

Submissions are invited from

  • Students

  • Research/ PhD scholars

  • Academicians

  • Lawyers

  • Working professionals

Mode of submission

The submissions need to be emailed in .doc/.docx format to mlpendse@mnlumumbai.edu.in

Submission & Formatting Guidelines

  • Co-authorship: Up to 2 authors

  • Word Limit: 3000-5000 words (inclusive of footnotes)

  • Citation Style: OSCOLA (4th ed.)

  • Plagiarism / Similarity Index Ceiling: up to 10%

  • Main Body: Times New Roman with font size being 12 and 1.5 line spacing

  • Footnote: Times New Roman with font size being 10 and 1.0 line spacing
