NLSIU wins International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot 2025

They competed against National University of Singapore in the finals.

The team from National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has won the 25th International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot (IMLAM), hosted by the University of Sydney, Australia from July 6-11, 2025.

The team comprised Vedika Warrier, Vrinda Sinha and Advaith Anand. They competed against National University of Singapore in the finals.

This year's problem statement had issues concerning cargo damage, charterparty liability, inter-club agreement apportionment, inherent vice, indemnity claim and legal costs recovery.

Other Indian teams present were Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur; Christ (deemed to be University), Bangalore; Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam; Kirit P Mehta School of Law, NMIMS Mumbai; NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad; National Law University, Delhi; National Law University, Jodhpur; and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.
