NLU Delhi breaks into QS World University Rankings with subject Rank 223

NLU Delhi credits the global rank to growth in research, international academic partnerships, and participation in global academic networks.

The National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) has made its debut in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 for Law and Legal Studies, securing a position in the 201–250 global band, with an overall subject rank of 223.

Out of nearly 1,800 institutions evaluated worldwide, only about 400 institutions were ranked, underscoring the competitive nature of the rankings.

With only eight institutions from India featured in this category, and among the National Law Universities, only National Law School of India University ranks higher, placing NLU Delhi firmly within the top tier of legal education in the country.

NLU Delhi has directly secured a position within a competitive global band, reflecting a strong performance across key parameters such as academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, H-index, and international research collaborations.

Vice-Chancellor, NLU Delhi, Prof (Dr) GS Bajpai expressed his gratitude to the leadership, faculty, staff, students, and all stakeholders for their support and contributions.

He emphasized that this recognition reflects the collective efforts of the entire university community and reinforces NLU Delhi’s commitment to academic and institutional excellence.
