NLU Jodhpur student found dead near campus

A third-year student of National Law University Jodhpur (NLU Jodhpur) was found dead near the rail track opposite the campus on Monday, reports TOI.

Vikram Nagech had reportedly gone out with this friends to an establishment near the campus on Sunday evening. While his friends returned to the campus, he told them that he would come later. When he was contacted later in the night, he assured his friends that he would come back soon. His body was discovered the next morning.

It is yet to be determined what the cause of death was. While the college authorities claim it was an accident, the police are awaiting the post-mortem report before ruling out suicide.

Registrar Sohan Lal Sharma reportedly said that Vikram was a good student and had recently passed his fourth semester exams comfortably. Sharma also said that Vikram’s  friends revealed that he was undergoing treatment for depression.
