#RecTracker: NLSIU Bangalore 2019 batch lands 46 jobs as of Days Zero, One

The 2019 batch of National Law School of India University, (NLSIU) Bangalore has placed a whopping 46 out of the 50 students who sat for recruitment, as of the recently held Day Zero and Day one on campus.

This figure includes the 21 pre-placement offers (PPOs) made by various law firms. 37 out of the 46 students landed jobs at the top-tier law firms in the country.

A total of 16 job offers were accepted on Day Zero, with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas making 4 hires, AZB & Partners, Trilegal and Khaitan & Co making 3 each, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas making 2, and Talwar Thakore & Associates with 1.

As regards the PPOs, Luthra & Luthra led the way with 6 hires, Shardul Amarchand and Trilegal with 4 each, Khaitan & Co with 3, Cyril Amarchand with 2, and S&R Associates and Talwar Thakore making 1 hire each.

9 students were placed on Day One, with ICICI making 4 hires, Finsec Advisors with 3, and Societe General with 2 hires.

One student also secured a vacation scheme at international law firm Allen & Overy.

The salaries on offer are estimated to be around Rs. 14 lakh per year mark, with a performance bonus of Rs. 1-2 lakh, depending on the firm.

The Recruitment Co-Ordination Committee for the 2019 batch of NLSIU consists of Aditya D’souza, Chandni Ochani, Chhavi Singhal, Jashanjot Kaur, Ritika Bansal, Sameer Deval and Megha Mehta.
