The Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj (RPNLU) organised the valedictory session for the 2nd Conquerors’ Intra Moot Court Competition, and the 1st Grand Intra Moot Court Competition on September 28, 2025 at its campus.
The ceremony was graced by dignitaries Allahabad High Court judge, Justice Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal as the Chief Guest, along with USLLS, GGSIP University, Prof (Dr) Kavita Solanki, and Advocate Tarun Agrawal as the Guests of Honour.
Vice-Chancellor, RPNLU, Senior Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon applauded the spirited performances of the participants, and RPNLU’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant mooting culture.
Delivering the valedictory address, Justice Deshwal congratulated all participants and remarked that while knowledge of law is essential, the true hallmark of a lawyer lies in the ability to think critically, with empathy and integrity guiding their practice. He urged students to remember that fairness and human values distinguish great lawyers from good ones.
Prof (Dr) Solanki highlighted the role of moot courts in preparing law students for the practical challenges of the profession. She reminded participants that while corporate opportunities may be lucrative, litigation remains the irreplaceable foundation of advocacy, and mooting acts as a bridge between academic knowledge and courtroom realities.
Advocate Tarun Agrawal, while congratulating the participants, said,
“There are no losers in such competitions.”
He also announced the institution of the Ravi Kant Memorial Gold Medal in Constitutional Law, to be conferred annually in memory of his late father, late Senior Advocate Ravi Kant.
The Conquerors’ Intra Moot Court Competition held from September 12– 14, 2025 for the Batch of 2025–30, saw sixteen participating teams.
The winners were Soundarya Awasthi, Richa Arya, and Sarvika Shankar, while the runners-up were Sahastrarchi Tej Dwivedi, Shaswat Tripathi, and Swarnima Yadav.
The award for Best Speaker went to Sahastrarchi Tej Dwivedi. The award for Best Researcher went to Sarvika Shankar, and the Best Memorial prize was awarded to Suhani Yadav, Gaurvi Singh, and Kavya Kayasth.
The Grand Intra Moot Court Competition for the batch of 2024-29 was held from September 27th–28th September 2025. The final round was judged by Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon, Prof (Dr) Kavita Solanki, and Tarun Agrawal.
The winners were Tejaswi Sharma, Suryansh Mishra, and Nandini, while the runners-up were Saumya Sachan and Janhavi Singh.
Tejaswi Sharma was adjudged Best Speaker, Aditya Raj received the award for Best Researcher, and the Best Memorial award went to Anmol Patel and Samriddhi Jain.
The session also included a brief presentation on the activities of the Moot Court Society by faculty Convener Dr Sonika, and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by faculty co-convener Dr Deepak Sharma.
