India-Japan Fund, a fund managed by National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited, has announced an investment of ₹500 crore in EKA Mobility, a electric vehicle manufacturer focused on commercial vehicles.
Anagram Partners acted as the legal counsel to India-Japan Fund on this transaction.
The transaction team was led by Simone Reis (Partner) and consisted of Shwetank Chaubey (Principal Associate), Anupam Nayak (Senior Associate) and Harsh Raj (Associate); in coordination with NIIF’s in-house legal team.
EKA is an automotive & technology company focused on commercial electric mobility, backed by Mitsui and VDL Groep.
IJF is NIIF’s first bilateral fund with a corpus of INR 4,900 Crore, with the Government of India contributing 49% and the remaining 51% contributed by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation a policy-based financial institution wholly owned by the Government of Japan.
