CMS INDUSLAW acts on State Street Investment Management's investment in Groww

The investment is intended to support Groww AMC’s growth and expansion in India’s evolving investment and asset management ecosystem.

State Street Investment Management has made a strategic minority investment in Groww AMC pursuant to which State Street has agreed to acquire a 23% stake in Groww AMC through a combination of primary subscription and secondary purchase from Billionbrains Garage Ventures Limited (ListCo), subject to customary regulatory approvals.

CMS INDUSLAW advised ListCo and its subsidiary Groww AMC.

The transaction team comprised Siddharth Manchanda (Partner), Riya Gupta (Senior Associate), Associates Aditya Jain and Saket Mishra.

The Corporate Compliance Team comprised Ruhi Jain (Executive Director) and Akshay Madhvani (Assistant Manager).

The Financial Regulatory Team comprised Paras Parekh (Partner), Ankita Roy (Principal Associate) and Vanshita Shah (Associate).

The transaction marks State Street Investment Management’s entry into India’s asset management sector through a partnership with Groww AMC, a digital-first mutual fund platform.

The investment is intended to support Groww AMC’s growth and expansion in India’s evolving investment and asset management ecosystem.
