Khaitan & Co advises Aditya Infotech on connecting with Orient Cables for electric cable production

Aditya Infotech Limited has entered into a 50:50 joint venture agreement with Orient Cables (India) Limited, for setting up a manufacturing unit for producing electric cables.

Khaitan & Co advised Aditya Infotech on this JV. The Firm advised on the structuring of the JV from an Indian law and regulatory perspective, drafted the transaction documents and advised the client on other India law related aspects in connection with the JV.

The transaction team consisted of Sarthak Sarin (Partner), Akshay Pathak (Counsel), Daanish Dube (Senior Associate) and Sameer Parihar (Associate).

The joint venture will specialize in producing electric cables, such as LAN cables and CCTV cables, along with terminated assemblies, connectors, and related products. It will serve the domestic market by supplying products to both partner companies and their affiliates, as well as to selected customers via Orient’s distribution network.
