Khaitan & Co advises JSW Sambalpur Steel Limited on availing ₹12,000 crore from SBI

The funds will be utilised for the purpose of part financing the acquisition of the steel business undertaking of Bhushan Power & Steel.

JSW Sambalpur Steel Limited has availed a rupee term loan facility aggregating to ₹12,000 crore from State Bank of India.

Khaitan & Co advised JSW Sambalpur Steel on this transaction.

The transaction team consisted of Manisha Shroff (Partner), Arijit Sarkar (Partner), Siddhant Shetty (Senior Associate), Nilanjan Kumar (Associate) and Shivansh Jain (Associate).

The Khaitan team worked with Ravishankar Jayaraman, Kunal Raval, Keshav Anand, Nitesh Sanghi and Khushnaaz Anklesaria who also represented JSW Sambalpur Steel on the transaction.

Reema Mudgal, Mahesh Wanegaonkar, Jaymon George and Diwakar represented State Bank of India on the transaction.

The funds will be utilised for the purpose of part financing the acquisition of the steel business undertaking of Bhushan Power & Steel Limited by way of slump sale on a going concern basis.
