Kochhar & Co advises ReNew in a partnership with PETRONAS

Pursuant to the transaction, PETRONAS' clean energy subsidiary, Gentari acquired a minority stake in ReNew's 403 MW utility scale Peak Power Project.

ReNew Group, one of India's largest renewable energy companies, has entered into a partnership with PETRONAS' clean energy subsidiary, Gentari. Pursuant to the transaction, Gentari acquired a minority stake in ReNew's 403 MW utility scale Peak Power Project.

Kochhar & Co Delhi (NCR) advised ReNew on all aspects of the transaction including transaction structuring and drafting, negotiating and finalizing transaction documents and other legal formalities in relation to the pre-closing and post-closing aspects of the transaction.

The transaction team consisted of Pradeep Ratnam (Senior Partner), Chandrashekhar Tampi (Senior Partner), Samad Ali (Principal Associate), Priyadarshinee Singh (Senior Associate) and Shivam Khanna (Associate).
