This acquisition is expected to enhance Sanlayan’s capability to provide indigenous solutions for national security and technological innovation in key sectors. Dexcel has played a role in major defense and space projects, including upgrades for Jaguar and Sukhoi aircraft and ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 missions. The deal’s value remains undisclosed.

Sanlayan Technologies: Founded in 2023, Sanlayan Technologies is a Bengaluru-based startup focused on developing and manufacturing electronics for military systems, along with providing solutions for satellite communication, space exploration, and space situational awareness. Headed by industry veterans with experience at companies like Zetwerk, L&T, and Tata Advanced, Sanlayan aims to build a robust, vertically integrated strategic electronics company.

They secured $ 4.4 million in funding in March 2024 to bolster its embedded systems capabilities. Sanlayan's vision is aligned with the Indian government's "Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan" (self-reliant India campaign), emphasizing indigenous technology development and manufacturing.
