Shardul Amarchand advises Emaar India on 25 acre project in Alibaug

The transaction will mark the entry of Emaar India Limited in the developing Alibaug market, near Mumbai with a premium holiday home project.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. has advised Emaar India Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary, Shitij Buildcon Private Limited, on their recent acquisition of a 25-acre land parcel in Alibaug, Maharashtra.

The transaction, finalised on October 15, 2024, represents a significant move for Emaar India as it ventures into the rapidly developing Alibaug market, located near Mumbai.

In addition to facilitating the land acquisition, SAMCo. was instrumental in preparing the necessary documentation for RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) registration of the upcoming project.

The SAMCo. team, which acted on this transaction, was led by Partner Bhoumick Vaidya and comprised Senior Associates Harshini Kotecha and Sona Phogaat, along with Associate Yash Bhansali.

The strategic acquisition is expected to enhance Emaar India's footprint in one of Maharashtra's most promising real estate markets, catering to the increasing demand for luxury holiday residences.
