Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advises SolarSquare on $53 million Series C fundraise

SolarSquare plans to use the fresh funds to expand its footprint into new cities and strengthen its technology capabilities.

SolarSquare Energy Private Limited has raised $53 million (approximately ₹508 crore) from a Series C fundraise led by B Capital, with participation from existing investors Lightspeed, Lowercarbon Capital, Good Capital, Zerodha and Better Capital.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised SolarSquare on this fundraise. The Firm advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including the drafting, negotiation and finalisation of the share subscription agreement, shareholders' agreement, share purchase agreements, founders' employment agreements and other ancillary transaction documents. The Firm also conducted the vendor legal due diligence for the transaction.

The transaction team was led by Manish Gupta (Partner), Rashi Singh (Principal Associate), Vivek Tiwari (Senior Associate), Adarsh Mishra (Associate).

The transaction team, along with Associates Mannshree Sikchi, Ananya Vajpayee, Pratham Bagani and Anjali Banerjee, also conducted due diligence.
