Khaitan & Co advised Kandhari Global Beverages Private Limited on the re-franchising and purchase of Coca Cola's bottling operations in North Gujarat.

The Firm advised Kandhari Global on the transaction structure and assisted in negotiating the transaction documents.

The transaction team consisted of Sarthak Sarin (Partner), Eklavya Malvai (Principal Associate), Swati Garg (Senior Associate) and Aritro Gon (Associate) with assistance from Amit Wadhwani (Partner) and Karan Mathur (Associate) on the real estate aspects.

The company recently expanded its operations by acquiring Coca-Cola's bottling plant in Sanand, North Gujarat. This acquisition aligns with Coca-Cola's global strategy of refranchising its bottling operations to local partners, allowing the company to focus on brand development and marketing while enabling partners like Kandhari Global to manage production and distribution

This acquisition significantly enhances Kandhari Global's operational footprint, adding to its existing presence in regions such as Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. The company plans to invest substantially over the next decade in areas including supply chain optimization, sales execution, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives. ​
