AZB & Partners has inducted Arijit Basu as a Senior Consultant for the firm.

Arijit recently retired as the Managing Director of State Bank of India, where he also served as a whole time director and was in charge of commercial and corporate banking, information technology and risk management.

He was also the Managing Director and CEO of SBI Life Insurance Company from 2014 through 2018.

Arijit has more than 35 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. His key leadership positions include serving as (i) Chairman of the working group on Project Finance, constituted by the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on the 2020 National Infrastructure Pipeline; and (ii) a member of the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Committee of the CII.
