Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) is inviting applications from interested candidates for the positions of Teaching Associate and Research Associate with the School of Maritime Law, Policy, and Administration.

Job Description

• Applications are invited from highly motivated and qualified individuals to join the university's dynamic academic and research community.

• The selected candidates will be expected to contribute to the academic excellence of the institution through teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities in the field of maritime law, policy, and administration.

Role and Responsibilities

Under the guidance and over all supervision of the Provost, Dean, Director and the Registrar, the incumbent shall perform the following roles and responsibilities;

(i) Conduct interdisciplinary research in areas of law in collaboration with teaching and research staff including honorary members and students;

(ii) Provide research assistance to teaching and research staff as and when required;

(iii) Develop, plan, execute, monitor and report interdisciplinary research in collaboration with external universities, institutions, government departments, industrial and economic agencies, judiciary within India and abroad;

(iv) Provide inputs to general teaching faculty on latest research developments and emerging research trends in respective fields;

(v) Participate in overall planning and development of academic, research, training and extension programs and activities of the University;

(vi) Conduct research based training and extension activities in the area of law;

(vii) Perform any other duties including administrative, coordination, etc. as required to achieve the aims and objectives of the University.

Remuneration: ₹ 45,000/- per month (fixed)
