Lawmen & White LLP, Advocates & Solicitors is looking to hire senior associates / associates in Delhi.

The present vacancies inviting candidates are specified hereunder:

  • 1 Senior Associate, with minimum 5 years PQE;

  • 2 Associates, with minimum 1-2 Years PQE.

[Note: Preference will be given to first generation lawyers with no family background in the profession].

All partners of the firm are first-generation lawyers.

Hiring consideration shall be given only to those candidates, who are either based out of Delhi or are willing to move to Delhi at a short notice within a period of 15 days.

The Firm engages associates / senior associates on a retainership model structure in accordance with their post-qualification experience (PQE).

The appointment process shall be initiated upon expression of interest by the firm upon assessment of submitted resumes and subject to the outcome of a preliminary test and subsequent interview.

The issuance of confirmation of final appointment shall remain solely within the authority of the managing partners of the firm.

Scope Of Work

The associates/ senior associates in the course of their work would be tasked with the following responsibilities, including, but not restricted to, the following:

  • Drafting of pleadings/requisite documentation for pursuing matters before various judicial fora including special leave petitions, counter affidavit, rejoinders, writ petitions, various applications, etc;

  • Preparation of case notes/precis/written arguments for the purposes of case management and briefings;

  • Briefing of senior counsel engaged to appear in particular matters;

  • Appearance and argument in judicial forums and complete file management;

  • Legal research in relation to assigned cases and areas of firm interest;

  • Assist in the research and drafting of articles/analysis etc. to be published by the firm on legal publications, with due accreditation;

  • Assist in the prompt filing and listing of cases upon assignment and associated procedural paraphernalia.

Key Expectations

  • Must be proficient and have a functional command over language – English and Hindi. The same must translate into drafting assignments as well;

  • Must keep themselves updated with the latest legal developments and astute knowledge of procedural aspects of law;

  • Must possess the ability to come up with solutions to legal problems;

  • Must possess the ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines;

  • Must possess the ability to work with/lead a team;

  • Must be well-read;

  • Must possess legal acumen and awareness;

  • Must conduct themselves with the highest degree of professionalism and exhibit a strong work ethic;

  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently;

  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality pertaining to sensitive information.

Remuneration

Senior Associate: Monthly retainership fee (negotiable basis PQE) & variable monthly bonus, subject to performance.

Associate: Monthly retainership fee (negotiable basis PQE) & variable monthly bonus, subject to performance.

[Note: The remunerations shall be commensurate with industry standards and considering the Candidate’s PQE].
