Central government clears appointment of 3 lawyers as Bombay High Court judges

As on August 1, the Bombay High Court is functioning with 66 judges as against its sanctioned strength of 94, a vacancy position of 28.

The Central government on Wednesday cleared the appointment of three advocates as additional judges of Bombay High Court.

The lawyers who have been appointed as additional judges are:

- Ajit Bhagwanrao Kadethankar; 

- Aarti Arun Sathe;

- Sushil Manohar Ghodeswar.

Union Minister of State for law and Justice (Independent Charges) Arjun Ram Meghwal tweeted the development.

The Supreme Court collegium had recommended the three lawyers for judgeship on July 28.
