The Central government on Tuesday cleared the appointment of three judicial officers as judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
The three names persons appointed are:
(i) Santosh Sharma
(ii) Sushma Sawant
(iii) Sudhir Kumar
The development was announced by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on X.
The appointment was made pursuant to a recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium on August 18.
The Chhattisgarh High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 22 judges, is currently functioning with 11 judges.
