Centre notifies transfer of Justice T Vinod Kumar from Telangana to Madras High Court

This was pursuant to the Supreme Court Collegium recommendation of May 26.

The Central government on Monday notified the transfer of Justice T Vinod Kumar from the Telangana High Court to the Madras High Court.

This was pursuant to the Supreme Court Collegium recommendation of May 26.

Justice Kumar enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh in 1988 after completing his BA.LLB from Osmania University. He began his practice in the chambers of Senior Advocate Ravi S, specialising in tax and corporate litigation.

He was as Senior Standing Counsel for Income Tax in 2015 and as Special Standing Counsel for Commercial Tax in 2016.

He was sworn in as a judge of the Telangana High Court on August 26, 2019.
