Collegium recommends Orissa High Court Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo as Patna High Court Chief Justice

The recommendation was made by a Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Orissa High Court Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo as the Chief Justice of Patna High Court.

The recommendation was made at a meeting of the Collegium held on December 18 where it proposed the elevation of five High Court judges as Chief Justices of different High Courts across the country.

The recommendation was made by a Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.

Justice Sahoo was born on June 5, 1964.

He took LL.B. from Cuttack Law College and enrolled as an Advocate in 989 under Orissa State Bar Council, Cuttack.

He was elevated as a judge of the Orissa High Court on July 2, 2014.
