Exclusive: Saraf & Partners loses two Banking & Finance Partners to CMS INDUSLAW

Abir Lal Dey and Satyadarshi Kunal are moving to CMS INDUSLAW.

In a significant lateral move, Abir Lal Dey and Satyadarshi Kunal, both Partners in the Banking & Finance and Projects practice at Saraf & Partners, have resigned to join CMS INDUSLAW.

The duo is taking a team with them, including Senior Associate Arnav Sinha and couple of associates.

Saraf & Partners' founder Mohit Saraf confirmed the departures, saying,

"We wish them all the very best."

Dey, an alumnus of Symbiosis Law School, Pune, brings nearly two decades of experience to his new role.

His practice spans banking, project finance, structured finance, insolvency and debt restructuring, with deep sectoral expertise across solar, wind, thermal, oil & gas, roads, ports, real estate, aviation and more. He is also an active adviser to startups and fintech companies.

Prior to Saraf & Partners, Dey worked at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra & Luthra, Link Legal and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Kunal, a 2011 graduate of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, has over 15 years of experience in banking & finance, fintech, project finance and debt restructuring. He has advised on a broad range of domestic transactions across shipping, technology, manufacturing, power, renewable energy, roads and ports.

He has previously worked with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra & Luthra, IL&FS Financial Services and ICICI Bank.
