AQUILAW has announced its annual promotions for 2026, elevating four lawyers to Associate Partner, alongside promotions across other positions.

The following have been made Associate Partners:

• Maharnab Roy (Civil Litigation | Kolkata) specialises in civil litigation, matrimonial disputes, eviction proceedings, succession and probate matters. He advises and represents clients in complex contentious proceedings and strategic dispute resolution matters.

• Kanchan J. Modak (M&A and General Corporate Practice | New Delhi) specialises in mergers & acquisitions, investment rounds, exit transactions, high-value commercial contracts and sports law.

• Piyush Kumar Ray (Dispute Resolution, Criminal Litigation and White-Collar Crime | Bhubaneswar) specialises in complex commercial and civil disputes, criminal litigation, white collar crime matters, enforcement actions, arbitration, dispute strategy and high-stakes

  litigation advisory matters.

• Arnav Dash (Dispute Resolution | Bhubaneswar) specialises in civil and commercial disputes, advising on litigation and regulatory matters across mining, real estate, infrastructure and insolvency law, alongside broader policy-oriented and strategic dispute resolution advisory. He also advises on real estate transactions and development projects, including land acquisition and divestment, commercial leasing and SEZ developments.
