Arjun Krishnan exits SAMVĀD: Partners to start independent practice

As an independent counsel based out of Delhi, Krishnan will focus on commercial litigation & arbitration and competition law.

Arjun Krishnan, Head of Dispute Resolution practice at SAMVĀD: Partners, New Delhi, is set to exit the firm to start his independent practice.

Krishnan is a 2005 graduate of National Law School of India University. He earned his Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford in 2006. He is also an Advocate-on-Record (AoR) in the Supreme Court of India.

Krishnan served as a Partner and Head of Disputes Resolution at SAMVĀD: Partners, Delhi for over 7 years. His areas of specialisation include arbitration and competition law. He regularly appears before the Supreme Court, High Court of Delhi, and various Tribunals and Commissions. He has acted as an arbitrator and an expert on legal matters, and regularly represents clients in ad-hoc and institutional commercial arbitration in India and abroad. He has also advised in arbitrations arising out of bilateral investment treaties. Additionally, he has been nominated for a second consecutive term as India’s national correspondent to United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

Following his exit from SAMVĀD, Krishnan will continue as an independent counsel based out of Delhi, with a focus on commercial litigation & arbitration and competition law.
