Khaitan & Co to start Ahmedabad office with return of Atman Desai

Desai was associated with Khaitan & Co from 2008 to 2012, before moving to Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Atman Desai will be joining Khaitan & Co as a Partner in the firm's Energy, Infrastructure & Resources practice at its upcoming Ahmedabad office.

Desai is a 2006 graduate of MS University, Baroda. He holds an LL.M. in corporate law from Monash University, Australia in 2008. He is also a qualified Chartered Secretary (ICSI).

He has over 15 years of experience in project development, commercial contracting, bidding, regulatory and policy advisory, acquisitions and joint ventures in the infrastructure sector. He specialises in advising developers, investors, contractors and lenders on transactions, with a specific focus on ports, data centres (conventional and renewables), mining, oil and gas (downstream) and highways.

Desai was previously associated with Khaitan & Co from 2008 to 2012. Prior to rejoining Khaitan, he was working with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for 11 years, where he held the position of a Partner for over 6 years.

On onboarding Desai, Khaitan Executive Director Amar Sinhji said,
