CAM Partner Ashwin Sapra moves to Trilegal

With over 25 years of experience, Sapra specializes in laws relating to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, life sciences and healthcare.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partner and Head of Pharma and Healthcare Ashwin Sapra is leaving the firm to join Trilegal.

Confirming Sapra's exit from the firm, CAM Managing Partner Cyril Shroff said, "We wish him all the best."

Sapra is a 1998 graduate of Symbiosis Law College. He earned his LLM in IP/Pharmaceuticals from Duke University in 2004.

With over 25 years of experience, Sapra specialises in laws relating to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, life sciences and healthcare. He also serves as the designated legal counsel for the Austrian Embassy in India.

Commenting on the appointment, Nishant Parikh and Sridhar Gorthi, Partners and Members of the Management Committee at Trilegal, said,

Ashwin is a highly seasoned practitioner whose experience aligns well with the firm’s integrated, cross-practice model. He will play a key role in the firm’s rapidly growing healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device and life sciences capabilities, adding depth and expertise to our client advisory competencies across transactional, disputes, regulatory, and intellectual property matters.”

Sapra has been associated with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for over a decade, where he heads the firm's Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Life Sciences practice.

He has previously also worked at Clasis Law and Luthra and Luthra Law Offices.

On his joining, Sapra said,

The healthcare sector in India is at an important stage of growth, with increased investment activity and regulatory engagement.
