Timothy Franklyn joins K Law as Senior Partner to lead Capital Markets and International Practice

Franklyn joins K Law from Fox & Mandal, where he was Deputy Managing Partner and National Head – Capital Markets.

Fox & Mandal Deputy Managing Partner Timothy Franklyn has left the firm to join Krishnamurthy & Co (K Law) as Senior Partner and Head of its Capital Markets and International Practice.

Franklyn brings over two decades of experience advising on cross-border capital markets and international transactions. He has spent more than 10 years with leading international law firms, including A&O Shearman and DLA Piper, where he advised issuers, financial institutions and corporates on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.

He has worked closely with K Law for several years on cross-border M&A transactions while at DLA Piper.

The Capital Markets team at K Law currently comprises around 10 lawyers across Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Franklyn joined Fox & Mandal last year, before which he was a Partner at Tatva Legal.

He holds an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is qualified as an advocate in India as well as a solicitor in England and Wales. In 2020, he was selected as an Obama Scholar at Columbia University. He is also the founder of the upcoming Bengaluru School of Law and Justice (SoLJ).
