Former NCLT Member V Nallasenapathy joins AK Mylsamy & Associates

V Nallasenapathy, former Member of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), has joined AK Mylsamy & Associates LLP as a Partner.

V Nallasenapathy was a member of NCLT Mumbai for five years until June 2021. He heard and decided a large number of cases on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, and cases on oppression and mismanagement, shareholder disputes and schemes of amalgamation, de-mergers, restructuring, reduction of share capital etc.

He handled many important cases such as the Innoventive Industries Case, Kirusa Software Case, Veer Gurjar Aluminium Industries Case, Cyrus Investments v. Tata Sons case, the Jet Airways case etc.

On his joining the firm, Nallasenapathy said,

“AK Mylsamy & Associates LLP is a well-established corporate law firm. AKM already has an impressive senior team of former members/judges, including Hon’ble S. Balasubramanian, former Chairman of Company Law Board, Hon’ble KK Balu, former Vice-Chairman of Company Law Board and Hon’ble M. Jaichandren, former judge of the Madras High Court. Joining AKM was therefore my obvious choice. I look forward to an exciting and interesting practice at AKM.”
