Three former IC Universal Legal Partners set up Aequitas Law Partners

Former IC Universal Legal lawyers Sambhav Ranka, Rowena De Sousa and Anita Jain have launched a full service law firm in Mumbai called Aequitas Law Partners.

Ranka brings to the firm close to two decades of legal and strategic experience in M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital, with a strong focus on high-stakes, cross-border and domestic transactions.

De Sousa has deep expertise in Private Equity, Venture Capital, M&A and General Corporate practices, with a strong track record across both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Jain specialises in Investment Funds, Asset Management and Regulatory Practice, advising investors and fund managers on complex fund formation, both onshore and offshore, including in GIFT City as well as regulatory strategy and cross-border structuring.

On launching Aequitas Law Partners, Ranka shared,
