Former Partner at J Sagar Associates Sahil Shah has quit after nearly seven years at the firm to join Khaitan & Co as a Counsel.

Shah has joined the Investment Funds Practice Group at Khaitan's Mumbai office.

He is a 2004 graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai, and got admitted to the Bombay Incorporated Law Society as a qualified Solicitor. He had worked Nishith Desai Associates for over seven years prior to joining JSA in October 2015.

With over 16 years of experience, Shah has a specific focus on assisting Indian and foreign fund managers in setting up Alternative Investment Fund (AIFs) in India, as well as assisting Indian and foreign institutional investors on their investments into Indian AIFs. He also focuses on Venture Capital and Private Equity transactions.
