Group General Counsel Sameer Chugh is leaving Bharti Group

Sameer Chugh, Group General Counsel of Bharti Group has resigned from the organisation. With Chugh leaving, Vidyut Gulati is taking over as General Counsel & Director Legal for the entire Bharti Airtel Group.

In August 2019, Sameer Chugh had taken over as Group General Counsel of the Bharti Group, with Mukesh Bhavnani moving up as Advisor to the Bharti Group.

Chugh had joined Airtel in 2014, prior to which he was working at Cummins India as Vice President – Legal. He has also previously worked at Essar and BT PLC. He is a 1997 graduate of Symbiosis Law School.

Gulati joined Bharti Enterprises in 2017 from Cairn India, where she was working as General Counsel. Prior to that, she was a Partner at Amarchand Mangaldas.

Gulati joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2006, prior to which she was working with Dua Associates. A graduate of Campus Law Centre, Vidyut worked in the Projects team and was made Partner at Amarchand in 2012.
