Samir Hossain appointed General Counsel of Aditya Birla Capital

Samir Hossain has been appointed as the General Counsel (Senior Management Personnel) of Aditya Birla Capital Limited, according to the company's regulatory filing to stock exchanges.

Hossain is a 2006 graduate of the Department of Law, Calcutta University.

Hossain joined Aditya Birla Capital in 2011 and is an accomplished legal professional with 19 years of extensive experience in corporate law, lending, investments, insurance, commercial litigation, and regulatory issues. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Head Legal at Aditya Birla Capital Limited, he provides strategic legal leadership across corporate functions and key business verticals.

Prior to the amalgamation of Aditya Birla Finance into Aditya Birla Capital earlier this year, Hossain had been serving as the Head Legal of Aditya Birla Finance. His role involved managing legal risks of Infrastructure Projects and Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets and Syndication business. He was also responsible for the stressed asset platform of Aditya Birla Capital and involved in key litigations of the group.

Hossain has been appointed to this position after the Board Meeting of Aditya Birla Capital under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.
