Sandhya Surendran joins BTG Legal as Partner in IP practice

She will be working out of the firm's Bengaluru office.

Sandhya Surendran has joined BTG Legal as a Partner at the Bengaluru office and will lead the firm's Intellectual Property practice.

Surendran is a 2007 graduate of the NALSAR, Hyderabad.

Surendran specialises in intellectual property rights, especially in relation to content, and has represented clients on both sides of talent and production. Her clients include entities operating in AI and blockchain, media production, music distribution, independent record labels, advertising tech, health-tech, IT/ITES, e-commerce and telecom services.

She has served in several in-house roles including as the senior legal counsel of VICE Media, InMobi, Infosys.

Prior to joining BTG Legal, she ran her independent practice, Lexic for over 7 years.
